Unique Indoor Comfort installs the following water heater brands: A.O. Smith, Buderus, Bradford White, GE, Rheem and Tri-Angle Tube.
GE® Hybrid Water Heater
- Saves the average household around $320 per year on their electricity bills compared to a standard electric water heater.
- Exceeds ENERGY STAR® standards with an energy factor of 2.35
- Easy-to-use control panel - easy to use control system located at eye-level.
- Utilizes both standard electric heating elements and a heat pump pulling in ambient air to heat and maintain water temperature.
Standard mode - operates standard electric element when the room temperature where the water heater is located is (less than 45°F) where heat pump functionality would not be ideal.
Vacation setting - the system will drop the water temperature to 50°F while preventing water from freezing. The system will return the water temperature to your desired setting the day before you return home.
*Based on DOE test procedure and comparison of a 50-gallon standard electric tank water heater using 4879 kWh per year vs. the GeoSpring hybrid heat pump water heater using 1856 kWh per year.

AO Smith Effex™ High Efficiency Gas
- Save upto 25% on water heating cost
- .70 EF
- ENERGY STAR® rated
- Advanced electronic condtrol with LCD display
- Electronic ignition - no standing pilot
How does the Effex™ work? - The high efficiency performance of the Effex model is possible thanks to its patented air intake system. Air is pushed into the combustion chamber creating a pressurized environment. Due to this "turbo charge" effect, tighter baffling is incorporated in the flue design to slow down the hot gas as it travels through the water heater. This results in more heat transferred to the water and less energy wasted.

Buderus Domestic Hot Water Tanks
Buderus' new methods of producing and storing domestic hot water have allowed for greater operating efficiencies, lower fuel consumption, and consistent hot water.
Tank Water Heaters by Buderus
Buderus manufactures domestic hot water tanks for practically every application - from residential on up to large commercial applications. Water capacities range from 32 to 258 gallons. The average household spends up to 30% of its energy dollars producing domestic hot water. That is why Buderus pioneered a method of producing and storing domestic hot water that is incredibly efficient. The super insulated design of the Buderus tanks protect against heat loss. Only Buderus hot water tanks are equipped with the thermal glaze DUOCLEANTM.
DUOCLEANTM is a ceramic that is thermally bonded to the internal components of our hot water tanks. The smooth glass-like coating provides added protection against the corrosive affects of minerals which are naturally present in water. Buderus hot water tanks provide clean, pure, and reliable hot water comfort for many years.

Solar Products
Buderus solar technology offers any number of opportunities for new houses or new heating systems, for hot water heating or for central heating backup.
Solar Heating Systems
Buderus solar thermal heating systems are comprised of some key components that effectively convert the sun's free energy into practical heat for domestic hot water and space heating applications. These indirect solar heating systems include the following components:
Flat Plate Solar Collectors - collecting and transferring solar thermal energy into usable heat
- Solar Storage Tank - storage tank for accumulating the collected solar thermal energy
- Solar Pump Station - circulation system for moving the heat transfer fluid from the collectors to the storage tank
- Solar Controller - automatically decides when to run the pump to bring the solar heat from the collectors to the storage tank
- Expansion Tank - a safety device that captures the expansion and condensation of the solar heat transfer fluid during changing climatic conditions
The design and selection of the Buderus solar thermal systems comes from 25 years of experience with solar installations in varied conditions and locations. Our propylene glycol active indirect systems are reliable and robust designed to endure year after year the freezing conditions of winter and high stagnation temperatures of summer.
